Kirkcudbright's annual Art and Crafts Trail is being held this weekend, 30th July to 1st August and Solway Books is delighted to be taking part by offering a selection of beautifully hand crafted jewellery from Croft Creations and Book End Studio. Croft Creations specialise in semi-precious stones and finish all their earrings and bracelets with silver findings. Book End Studio's Julie Houston from Wigtown has created a range of quirky designs featuring tiny books hand made into earrings, fridge magnets and brooches. Don't forget we have a large number of art books both new and second hand for sale.
The Art and Crafts Trail allows you to enjoy the High Street along with the hidden closes and secret gardens of the town. There are more than 130 participants this year ranging from studios to galleries and shops. There are also workshops and demonstrations being held over the weekend.
